Who we are

Alan Lorrimer- Riley

 is a Christian pastor, author, and community leader based in North Wales. He is primarily known for his leadership of the Snowdonia Christian Fellowship, which he helped establish in 1991. 

Ministry and Community Work

  • Pastoral Leadership: He serves as the pastor of Snowdonia Christian Fellowship and has been a frequent speaker on theological themes such as the "Fruit of the Spirit".

  • Revival Research: He is a key figure in documenting the 1817 Beddgelert Revival. He has written extensively on the subject, describing revival as "God in action" that transforms community life.

  • Civic Roles: Professionally, he has worked as a Resource Coordinator for the Conwy County Borough Council. He also served as a director for TAPE Community Music and Film Ltd from 2012 until his resignation in March 2025. 

Author and Publications

Lorrimer-Riley has published works centered on Welsh spiritual history:

  • "The Spirit of the Mountains": A short story focused on the events of the Beddgelert Revival.

  • Educational Materials: He manages the Beddgelert 1817 website, which offers books and commemorative items related to the revival's bicentenary. 

Personal Life

Originally from Jordi, he moved to London for work before settling in North Wales with his wife. After her passing in 2007, he has continued to live in Tregarth, near Bangor.
